New Classes Starting April 14, 2009
Basic Knitting & Norwegian Knitting Basic Knitting – for those who would like to learn to knit and/or polish up their skills. We will help you develop your knitting skills in the way that works best for you. You will learn the basic stitches and how to read knitting patterns. You will also learn many of the special techniques which are used in knitting patterns such as the many different cast on and bind off methods and the increases and decreases used for shaping. And reading patterns!
Class Times: 8 weekly sessions Fee Tuesdays, April 14 - June 2 6:30 – 9:00 pm $165 initial materials included Wednesdays, April 15 - June 3 1:00 – 3:30 pm $165 initial materials included

Nordic-Look Felted Tote Bags -- Instructor Barb Rebik Barb will teach you how to make a knitted bag with beautiful Norwegian designs, using 2 colors with the stranding technique. Then you will felt it for a thick, sturdy tote bag. These bags use a heavy weight yarn on large needles for a quick project. Add pockets, buttons, or clasps to make them your own.
Class Times: 2 weekly sessions Fee Mondays, April 20 & 27 6:30 - 9:00 $50 plus materials
